Protected Boston VMs

The following plans were created to meet compliance from our customers. These plans require the customer to request pricing information.

An Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) is a security feature that is commonly found in firewalls. It is designed to detect and prevent malicious activity on a network. Essentially, an IPS works by analyzing network traffic and looking for any patterns or behavior that might indicate an attack. If it detects something suspicious, it can take action to block that traffic and protect your network from harm.

Having an IPS on a firewall is beneficial because it provides an additional layer of security beyond traditional firewall capabilities. While firewalls can block certain types of traffic based on predefined rules, an IPS is able to detect and stop more advanced threats that may not be caught by a firewall alone. This can include things like viruses, malware, and even zero-day exploits that are not yet known to security experts.
