Boston, MA ยท Proxmox and Ceph
Boston cloud servers that survive an offline node.
Proxmox VE clusters backed by Ceph distributed storage. Your data is written to three independent nodes, and a failed host moves your virtual machine to a healthy one automatically, without you being paged.
From $40 per month Failover in 60 to 120 seconds 99.9% uptime SLA
Built for workloads that cannot wait for a rebuild.
Axcelx offers Boston cloud servers with enterprise-grade high availability. Our HA VPS hosting runs on Proxmox VE clusters with Ceph distributed storage, which keeps your virtual private servers in Massachusetts online even when hardware underneath them fails.
Built for businesses that treat uptime as a requirement rather than a preference, the platform includes triple-replicated NVMe storage, automatic failover and live migration. There is no single point of failure in the storage or the compute layer.
If your workload can tolerate a host failure and a manual rebuild, our standard virtual servers cost roughly half as much for the same memory. We will tell you honestly which one you need.

Platform
Enterprise-grade high availability.
Ceph triple replication
Every block is stored across three independent nodes. Any single point of failure in the storage layer is survivable without intervention.
Automatic failover
Virtual machines restart on a healthy node within 60 to 120 seconds of a host failure. Nobody has to be awake for it to happen.
NVMe throughput
Enterprise NVMe drives deliver up to 1 million IOPS with sub-millisecond latency, even with replication overhead.
Live migration
Running machines move between nodes with zero downtime, so host maintenance never becomes your maintenance window.
DDoS protection
Network level protection shields your services from volumetric attacks by default.
99.9% uptime SLA
Guaranteed availability backed by service credits, with no term commitment required to get it.
Straight answers
High availability cloud questions.
What makes these virtual servers highly available?
Three things working together. Ceph writes every block to three independent nodes, so no single disk or host holds the only copy. Proxmox monitors cluster health and restarts a virtual machine on a healthy node automatically when its host fails. Live migration moves running machines between hosts with no downtime during planned maintenance.
How long does failover actually take?
A virtual machine restarts on a healthy node within 60 to 120 seconds of the host failing. That is a reboot rather than a seamless transition, so the workload should tolerate a short restart, but no data is lost and no human intervention is needed.
What is the difference between this and a standard Axcelx VPS?
A standard virtual server runs on one host with local SSD RAID 10 storage. If that host fails, the machine stays down until it recovers. A high availability instance runs on a cluster with Ceph NVMe storage replicated three ways and restarts elsewhere automatically. HA costs roughly twice as much for the same memory.
Is there an uptime guarantee?
Yes. High availability instances carry a 99.9% uptime SLA backed by service credits for any downtime.
What storage performance should I expect?
Enterprise NVMe drives deliver up to 1 million IOPS with sub-millisecond latency, with the Ceph replication overhead already accounted for.
Can maintenance be done without taking my server down?
Yes. Live migration moves running virtual machines between nodes with no interruption, so host patching and hardware work happen without a maintenance window for you.

We will size the cluster against the workload and tell you honestly whether you need high availability or whether a standard virtual server is enough.
